My new laptop arrived yesterday. It's a Dell Inspiron 9300 and more laptop than I'll ever need. I was lured in by a 40% off deal at Techbargains. I've signed up for a fiction writing class through the Piper Center at ASU. My plan is that a structured class and a convenient laptop will be enough to get me writing more than blog entries. Hopefully, my registration will arive before the class fills up.
As cool as a new laptop is it's really nothing compared to my family's new gift. My sister Anna just called me to share that she and Tobie will be parents in April. I'll be following Josh and Chris into unclehood.

I'm so glad you are taking a fiction class. It's nice to see you working on that.
I ordered a laptop too. Only it's just the Inspiron 1200 - something to type on. I'm contributing to a movie review book at home, so I wanted to break free from the basement computer since that depresses me.
And what about Anna and Tobie's news??? They were so excited last night as we had our celebratory dinner. Remember Tobie at their engagement? He was just like that about this. Lots of yelling.
However, I still think I'm too young to be a grandma. :)

ahhhh and i an aunt...whew. hopefully tobie is over yelling at anna "you're crazy!" haha silly husband crazies only comes in pills. anyway that was a wierd thing for me say...
i think the surprise is just sinking in for me. i went out and got a few things for our bean sized coming addition to the family tonight, because i suddenly became doubly excited! i cant wait to hold the baby :)
i hope all is well, and that looks like one tight computer...so i hope it's motivating, and have fun with your class. im really excited for my 3 lit. classes this semester!
